Laurie, I loved seeing this trailer! You can see she is on a journey…but does she really NEED all that baggage to make it enjoyable and practical? Of course not! Makes your point beautifully. Along with so many others, I can’t wait until I hold it in my hands! Like you so often say, “Travel light, travel fast.”, this will be my mantra as we make our way across the U.S. this Spring. I am just beginning to read “Great Short Stories By American Women”, edited by Candace Ward. While not a big fan of short stories, these seem to be the cream of the crop. By the way, you’re new blog page layout is fantastic!

Awesome trailer! I didn’t know there was trailers for books, you must be like the coolest chic in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest in general! Congrats my friend :), I’m currently reading the
Indiana Code of Statutes on criminal harassment and stalking. Really riveting stuff, since my contempt of court case is tied to my family law divorce case from almost two freaking years ago I’m going to get pummeled in court tomorrow over my first amendment right of free speech. Hardly seems fair doesn’t it :(. Think you could call in a favor to the Dalai Lama for me. Sorry for the rant, being lawyerless and going up against a bull dog has been a tad frustrating.

Just finished reading Richard Dawkins’ “Brief Candle in the Dark” and Dan Dennett’s “Intuition pumps” – both of which were excellent.
Currently reading a science fiction book recommended to me, Peter Hamilton’s “The Reality Dysfunction” – which has some aspects of a reasonable story, but has so much bad science that I’m not enjoying it as much as I had hoped. And in one sense the entire book is a great demonstration of just how limiting and destructive the concept of money is, once technology is able to deliver abundance (also does a good demonstration of limits of the utility of most religious paradigms – but I don’t think he intended either aspect).
Well done for creating your own book Laurie – I look forward to reading it.
Ted — I have no idea how my mind switched tracks, but after reading the books you named, thought you might enjoy reading (if you haven’t already) “Lights Out: A Cyberattack, A Nation Unprepared, Surviving the Aftermath” by Ted Koppel.

Yaaaahhhoooo Laurie! I am beaming with excitement for you and this long awaited book to finally arrive. I have to admit to not reading much at all at the moment because I have a handful of brushes in each hand and herd of canvases to round up and complete in the next few days before I leave on the next adventure of seven weeks in Prince Edward Island. I will be preordering your book upon my return. Good luck with it all and I shall be staying tuned for whatever is next.

One of the best I’ve ever seen. The flow and relational placement of your thoughts and words and the imagery is stellar. It excites me, makes me want to read that book!
What am I reading right now? An interesting biographical novel written by Ellen Feldman titled Terrible Virtue. It shares the story of Margaret Sanger, one of our sex’s heroine’s who tested the waters with her passion for birth control, freedom for women, and became a great speaker and writer among the socialists of her time. I’m thoroughly enjoying it!

I am currently reading ‘The Colour Purple ‘ by Alice Walker. ‘ I have wanted to read it for years …loving it . Also had The Invention Of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd on kindle for two years . Started it just as I was leaving the Midlands but never got around to finishing it …just picked it up from the library about to start it 🌷🌷🌷 I often have two or three books on the go at the same time
I love the idea of asking what other people are reading because I get a new list …yours it right at the top👏👏👏

Cherry — I love “the real thing” too. That said… I have a Kindle Paperwhite that’s perfect because when I travel (which is often), I don’t have to heave 5 or 6 books up into the airplane’s overhead compartment 🙂
