I’ve Got a Secret

Something exciting is happening in my world.
I’m not going to share it with you.
Just yet.
But I will.
Soon!

The reason for this excitement was a catalyst for reaching out to other writers — published women authors — with a request. Without exception, this network of friends stepped up to the plate and embraced my request with yes, Yes, YES! Their glowing support has me bursting at the seams.

Like fizz in champagne, do you have something — secret or otherwise — that has you bubbling with excitement?

Psssst, if you’re one of the authors who’s stepped up to the plate, mum’s the word…

  1. Absolutely, my first grandchild is due in November, and whilst the two families await the birth, we are all bubbling with excitement. I’m looking forward to hearing more of your news, I’m intrigued, Laurie. 🙂

  3. Can’t say that I have been sitting on any secrets lately, but I am planning a trip to the beach next week. And that makes me fizz like a dropped can of ginger ale! Secrets are fun to have….but don’t make everyone wait too long….

    • Sandi — I took that photograph last year when we first arrived in Boise. The tulips are grown in HUGE “planters” in the downtown area, somewhat close to the capitol building.

  4. What a tease.
Clearly your’re ready to run … I’m excited to hear your news! I do have a guess or perhaps a hope on what you might be up to.

I’m working on a couple of new ventures; as yet not ready for prime time.

  5. This is plain old exciting! I’m excited to hear this lovely news! I’m bubbling up on excitement for our 15 year wedding anniversary. My husband semi planned (that right there is pretty huge) an overnighter at the Skamania Lodge and will be doing … Ziplining and touring the many waterfalls on our way home. He’s deathly afraid of heights and doing this shows me his complete trust and desire to take this adventure of life with me full on.

    • Terrill — I think “quietly content” for you means you’re painting another gorgeous canvas in your mind, and before you know it, voila’ — it’ll be a 3-dimensional reality for the world to appreciate.

  6. I am so excited about our new house and just know that this house is going to sell any minute to just the “right” folks who will love it. I have my bottle of champagne chilling and just know it will be any minute now

Enjoying this tease and I hope you secret is what I am thinking it is….hope hope

    • Patricia — Like you, your house is waiting for just the right people. The moment it feels their energy, it’ll wrap up their hearts and positive emotions and won’t let go. Keep us posted! 🙂

  7. Mum’s the word, Laurie. 🙂

As for me, I’ve been drawn to a new subject, an exciting one for me, but don’t yet know the contours of the call. Happy to evolve slowly now. Headed on a road trip to see my daughter on her birthday. Woo hoo!

  9. I’m bubbling because I’m stepping out of my comfort zone with something I’ve decided to do. Keeping details mum from even my hubby so I can keep all the energy momentum in tact. Sometimes we need to hang on to that energy more than we need to share it. Love secrets! They have such potential!

    • Dorothy — I love your wisdom: “…so I can keep all the energy momentum in tact.” Yes, indeed. That’s precisely the place where I’m at. I’m excited for secret too. I know you’ll share it with the rest of it when the time is right. Woohoo! 🙂

  10. I can’t wait to find out! But I’m bummed that I’m not one of the published women writers in the know (that’s my ego talking, my secret is that I can still be egotistical. Rats). :+) Love your tulip banner. It’s a banner year for secrets!

  11. Laurie, I’m excited for you!!! There are two possibilities in my mind that I am thinking of could be your secret and both are glorious possibilities! So far on my end the cat has been out of the bag so to speak on all fronts, but I can hope for something special to come along! I trust you and Len are having a real nice weekend! 🙂

  12. Interestingly enough….i also have a top secret project brewing….hoping it come to fruition! The intent had been set, the ball is rolling….now to make it happen!
