  1. Hi Laurie! Lucky me – I have two Taurians – my son AND my daughter, though my daughter has some Gemini influence being closer to that sign. Stubbornness? Gee, ya think? 🙂

  2. Yep the stubbornness describes both of the Taurus two in my family. My older brother was born mid May and is very friendly and a great volunteer, but he runs hot and cold as a 29/11 and he is not very healthy. I go months without hearing from him and he was little to no help with my mother or father at the time of their greatest needs. He is a financial wreck.
We seem to have little in common except liver disease and our facial features.

My niece is also a Taurus and she has a Norwegian Bi-polar disorder and I can not predict her behavior.

My brother would hate to think “pink” anything…he is a manly BLUE person.

They both want so much control and are the center of their own attention.

I find myself very much avoiding 29/11s and my Taurus connections, and by doing this I feel better about myself.
Good write up here – thank you…

    • Patricia – That stubborn streak often stands Taureans in good stead because they stick-with-it until the job’s done.

I’m pretty sure that if I was stuck on a deserted island that I wanted off of, I’d want a Taurus personality with me because they’d see to it that it happened. Me, on the otherhand (a Libra) would be focused on making it pretty while I was there (not so great for getting off the island)…

      • I think I learned from my Taurus friends – that if I was on a desert island with them – they would demand I get them off or would get themselves off and I would be totally on my own….I have always needed to do my own thing and follow my own pathway around them.

    • A Taurean can carry off pink, purple or even daisy chains without a bother. (Just hang it from horn to horn.)
And while I’m here – Happy Christmas and a mellow new year to you and yours.

      • Paul – The visual you provide here (bull with daisy chain hanging from horn to horn) has me smiling this morning. Happy Holidays and a Healthy New Year to You and Yours as well, thank you 🙂

  3. My first mother-in-law is a Taurus and a wonderful woman. She and dad remained close to me even after the divorce from their son. Dad passed away some years ago, but Mom and I still keep in touch. They used to tell me I was the daughter they never had 🙂

  4. Hi, Laurie — my mother (April 29), my sister (April 30), and I (May 6) are all Taureans. Nice to know I share a birthdate with George Clooney. We are all stubborn for sure. I prefer to use the term “tenacious.” I totally agree with self-sufficiency and security — every move I make fulfills one or the other. When I was dependent upon my parents, I really REALLY disliked it. Dependency is not easy for me. There are times when I need to depend on others even if it is only to give me a ride to and from the auto mechanic. My goal is to remain totally independent until I join that great circus in the sky.

    • Barbara – I can say with confidence that every Taurus I know is self-sufficient, independent, and loves their freedom. Equally, once they have a bee in their bonnet, they’re highly motivated and there’s no stopping them. My hat is off to that type of tenacity 🙂

  5. Laurie, both of my parents were strong Taureans. “Taurus is an Earth element—practical, careful, reliable, and resolute. They impart form and structure.” These attributes describe my remarkable parentes perfectly! I am loving this fascinating insight. Thank you for your “Green Brain Enlightening Knowledge”.

  6. Ah, Laurie, a whole lot, including my sons Sammy (May 15) and Danny (May 17). My third son Jeremy is May 27, and my oldest daughter Melanie is May 30. (Both are Geminis)

I just read some of the traits to them and they were pleased at some of the positive attributes.

If my son Sammy isn’t stubborn and resistant to change, I don’t know who is. But he needs to eat vegetables, which he obstinately ignores despite teh pressure we apply.

    Beautiful flouescent pink shade there!

    • Sam – You’ve got two Taureans and two Gemini’s (today’s post) living under your roof. Hula Burgers! That combo alone makes for a HIGH ENERGY household, and that’s only taking into account four out of seven people who share a roof! The month of May looks to be an extremely EXPENSIVE month for you and Lucille. I can well imagine, however, that at least some of your children like to receive movie theater passes as gifts (my son and Kayley sure do).

  7. Laurie, I couldn’t for the life of me remember in Taurus people in my circle of until today. It’s very odd considering that approximately every twelfth person in the World is a Taurus. Then I remember my old 10th grade boyfriend in Delaware was born under that sign. Bingo! Steady as a rock, one of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life. He moved to California and that took care of that. I do wish I knew some more, they must be mighty fine people.
