Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.
If you could have 3 personal wishes granted (something for yourself), what would they be?
If you could have 3 global wishes granted (other than for self), what would they be?
Caveat: none of your wishes can be to have unlimited wishes…

Three things for myself, are health (freedom from cancer), freedom and mental clarity.
Three global wishes, abundance via http://www.solnx.org or some equivalent, tolerance of diversity, active cooperation at all levels of governance giving respect for all human life, and security for all.
Ted – I enjoyed reading your great wishes!
By the way, I’ve been doing a lot of reading about New Zealand Jade (aka Flower Jade, Greenstone), and the carvings based on traditional Maori designs — Wow!
Well, Laurie, such a thought provoking question! And now the brain is allowing answers, so let me think…
Personal
1. to merge with the Self
2. freedom from attachments and fears
3. Enlightenment
For the world
1. to merge with the Self
2. freedom from attachments and fears
3. Enlightenment for all–or satisfaction with life, or whatever the soul is seeking.
Can I add a fourth? Accepting what is. In which case…throw out all the the above desires. Because, then, would we care?
Kathy – Your fourth wish pretty much did a clean sweep, right outta the park!
Hi Kathy
I think there is a distinction worth clarifying in what you say.
Acceptance, to me, is accepting that reality is what it is.
Bringing acceptance frees us from wasting time wishing that anything in the past or present is anything other than exactly what it is.
There is a massive distinction between bringing acceptance to what is, and choosing what will be.
It is the active choice of a human will that can change the probable, almost certain future, and produce an outcome that was not otherwise going to happen.
Thus we need to accept all the injustice and inequality that exists, and has ever existed, and then, in the full presence of this reality, we may powerfully choose to create a future in which every individual experiences abundance, peace, fulfillment & whatever else we choose.
The thing to get is, that in the failure to make such choices, personally, ongoingly, each of us perpetuates the patterns of the past.
This is the nature of being, the nature of choice.
So for me, yes, I care very much, and I want everyone else to care to, and one of the first steps in that caring is to accept all that is, and own ones power of choice and action in creating a future that is not like the past.

Ted
Hello, Ted! That is a good distinction to make. For me, accepting what is in the moment doesn’t negate choice or action. It involves a surrender to what arises without pushing away or refusing to allow. Or grasping on too tightly, refusing to allow the next moment to arise.
I also discover that when I am truly flowing in the moment, the most appropriate choice/action arises.
Blessings to you…Kathy
Three Wishes? Hmmmm! I won’t say my first wish would be 3 more wishes, but I am pretty sure I would do that. ;o)
1. Plenty of the necessary food, clothing, and shelter of the healthy and sustainable kind for everyone.
2. Access to quality healing and healthcare for everyone! Included in this would be peace on earth for all time. (Total elimination of its opposite which is War and Violence)
3. Last and certainly not least, I would want everyone to have a total recognition and ongoing experience of the truth of their true nature coming to know the ONE they really are.
Good question!
Ben
Ben – “Peace on earth for all time.” I can imagine a place like that. And it starts with individual peace of mind. Your wonderful wishes go a long way toward promoting that. Thank you for visiting Speaking from the Heart today.
Laurie, all my personal wishes have been granted so I want to give mine to someone else who needs more than three. Read the rules twice… nope! you never said I couldn’t give them away:)
Now for my three global wishes….
I wish that every person may spend part of each day sitting under a tree wiggling their toes in mother earth.
I wish that every person may know that they are loved.
I wish that every person may find reason to laugh a great belly laugh until tears run down their face.
Oh Oh I am raising my hand,..,,,,
Can I have them…..I need all the help I can get….LOL
Laughing….
There were so many great wishes that I couldn’t come up with my own, but I really liked creativepotager wished for. I shall borrow them if I may – please? Very thought-provoking question….which is why I didn’t answer it Sunday – I was thinkin’!
Cindy Lou – There were lots of great wishes, and yes you may certainly borrow them. I wrote each one out on a separate piece of paper and put them in a “God Box” (a little box I have with a lid). I’ve been pulling one out each day and visualizing it.
If you could have 3 personal wishes granted (something for yourself), what would they be?
* to win to lottery to be able to pay all my bills and obligations (financial security) and to be able to help my families (brother, sister and my father in all their endeavours.
* continues good health as well as for my family.
* peace on mind…
If you could have 3 global wishes granted (other than for self), what would they be?
* world peace (nature’s loving and people’s keep sharing)
* prosperity to all
* God-centered world…
Rowena – I’m glad that you stopped by with your wishes, thank you. I hope you’ll visit Speaking from the Heart again.
I asked my young son what his one wish (3 over a few different questions would be far too much before bedtime :)) would be. He said, without hesitation, “I’d wish to be a Jedi”.
There ya go…out of the mouths of 6 year olds!
Anne – Oh, I love it!
