Flow

Flow by Laurie Buchanan

I’ve rounded a gentle bend in the river and I’m flowing into the very best part of my life. I’m relaxed and my energy flows freely. At home, we’ve whittled things down—trimmed away inessentials—to a slender lifestyle. This weekend we take the final steps to do the same thing at HolEssence; create sacred space. Unencumbered, we no longer crash into boulders that we encounter in life’s stream, we simply flow around them.

The journey so far has been amazing; the best is yet to come.

Listen with your heart,

  1. Laurie your words are as beautiful as the image you have captured to present them. Wow!

It has taken us a few months but the other day we came home and as I entered the house I could feel the openness and easy flow of energy that has resulted from our efforts to clean and clear. Is everything perfect? No but the log jams have been released and we are able to move with grace and integrity through our day.

You have been such an amazing mentor to me as we worked on a little each day until… at last the results speak for themselves. Thank you Laurie.

    • Terrill – You have no idea how much your words mean to me. They were like warm, sweet air escaping from an opened oven door that filled my heart as I read them.

  2. Flowing and never ending, always having steams, waterfalls and quiet ponds.

I hope your cleaning was sucessful. If you still need help, Mike and I are glad to lend a hand or just put Joe to work! ha ha.

I have to say today is a waterfall day for me, like dropping off a cliff…..waiting for the waters to settle……bobbing up and down with the raft!

    • Hi Kim – Thank you so much for your kind offer. We actually completed it today. I’m getting ready to post before/after photos in the new Gaia community. I only have 1 photo album there so you should be able to see/find them in just a little while …

  3. Laurie, when I encounter a boulder I just jump over it and hope for a soft landing on the other side. If it’s a really big boulder I run round it. If its a really really really big boulder then I get my friends to help me push it out of the way. Friends and the power of positive thinking!

    • Kevin – I’m so glad you visited SPEAKING FROM THE HEART. And all the way from Scotland! I definitely agree that friends and positive thinking are wonderful ingredients for getting past a ginormous boulder!

  4. Good Morning, Laurie! It’s time for the Ice to break and let the log jams disperse. Let’s get on with the business and busyness of new Life and new beginnings and it seems you have gotten a headstart!

    • Sandi – We certainly did get a jumpstart yesterday. I had an exchange with another practitioner this morning at HolEssence where everything was completed and we’re ready to hit the ground running in the morning. Then on to grocery shopping and passport photos. We thought we would accomplish more on our to-do list, but realized that we’re in need of rest and relaxation and gave ourselves permission to flow into a place of rest and relaxation — no more demands today. We’re spendig the rest of this sunny afternoon at home with our girls. For those of you who are new to this blog, our girls are Willa (an Irish Wolfhound), Lexi (a Standard Poodle), and Claire (a West Highland White Terrier). We also have a grown son, Eoghan (Evan to most people).

  5. Oh, Laurie, this is delightful. I have felt some log jams in the past few days but feel the edges of that energetic flow just ’round the bend. The log jams have felt like old energy surfacing to be looked at again from a new angle, a new place. But the ice is breaking up out on the lake…it’s a wonderful time for us to look deeply into our hearts and to see what we’re holding on to perhaps too tightly. Thanks for this thoughtful and encouraging blog.

    • Kathy, I love what you said, “… it’s a wonderful time for us to look deeply into our hearts and to see what we’re holding on to perhaps too tightly.” Thank you!
