Looking Ahead

Tarpum Bay Pier by Laurie Buchanan

Tarpum Bay Pier by Laurie Buchanan

Where have I been and where am I now? The answers to these questions are easy because I’ve already lived them. Ahhhh, but where am I going?

I want to go where I’ll have the greatest positive effect. Ideally, that place would be wherever I am at the time. Being in the right place at the right time, so to speak. Knowing–with a certainty–that wherever I am is precisely where I’m supposed to be.

Listen with your heart,

  1. Outstanding photo Laurie and perfect message for me at this moment. As I ponder not being able to do something for someone because of my responsibilities elsewhere.

Good to remember “wherever I am is precisely where I’m supposed to be.”

    • Terrill – I’m glad to be able to return the favor; your posts always provide me with upliftment. You should have heard me yelling to Len, “Terrill said my photo is OUTSTANDING!” After viewing your work we both know that’s high praise — thank you! We’re having a wonderful time. The “internet withdrawl” we’ve been experiencing is what prompted me to write today’s post. I’m where I need to be, and what’s happening is suppose to be happening.

  2. Beautiful Blue Waters!!!!

I hope you are just sitting at the end of the dock doing a personal breathing class……..What a great place to just sit and be…….

    Thanks for the pictures…..

    P.S>
My daughter is home for Spring Break and she is already bugging Dad for the family to go to the Bahams, after seeing your pictures……

    • Kim – I did sit, feet dangling, on the very end of the pier (scared the bajeebers out of the seagulls who screamed their irritation at me) and breathed in the color blue. Between the ocean and the sky, it was like being enveloped in a blue cocoon!

      • Great……
OMG It sounds just what is needed to change your perspective in a lot of positive, uplifting, constructive, and healing sort of ways….

        ENJOY

  3. Look at that color of blue. What a gorgeous shade it is…That photo is magnificent. Hope you have a safe trip home. We’ll wave as our airplanes pass.

Knowing with certainty that we’re exactly where we are supposed to be–that has been a theme of this day for me. How appropos that you blogged about it.

    • Kathy – I had fun taking that photo. I was standing on another “pier” to get it and almost fell in. Safe travels to you, friend. I’ll be looking forward to what you and Miss Ellie have to share.
